Memory card that uses flash memory are treated as hard drives to computers. Many computers and cell phones are released with in-built flash memory reader for more convenience of the users. Previously PC cards and smart cards are treated as memory cards. They do not contain microprocessor. Memory cards store data in memory chips that are embedded in it. These smart cards can store from 1K to 4K of data. The data processing is done through a simple circuit that is capable of executing few program instructions only. As circuit has limited program executions, it cannot be reused. Once, the smart card has reached its storage capacity, you have to dispose it off. These are used as prepaid cards for public phones.
Today’s memory cards are reusable giving complete access for storing data. Like other storage devices, these are also prone to corruption in certain situations like ejecting memory card from digital cameras or card reader during data transmission, malware attack, file system corruption etc. Recover data from corrupted memory card using proficient tool that recovers all your lost data from corrupted memory card.
Memory chip use NOR or NAND mapping techniques to interconnect memory cells. NOR flash memory cells are connected in parallel from where the data is read and programmed individually. NAND flash memory cells are connected in series from where reading and writing process is done in series. Depending upon the application, memory chips selects one among them. Most of the microprocessors make use of the NOR technique. NOR flash has low storage density requiring large amounts of multiple chips for storing data. It has fast read times but slow at erase and write times. This NOR mapping stores and execute the program without writing instructions into RAM first. NOR technique can be partitioned from where application can run in one partition while data is read, write or executed simultaneously from another. Due to this, NOR flash memory is often organized in cell phones and embedded systems. NAND flash technique lacks random access nature of NOR mapping. Like NOR mapping, NAND cannot be partitioned and it allows reading data one segment at a time. This mapping has faster erase and write times and provides greater storage capacity at lower coast bit rate compared to NOR. These features made NAND to be used in all popular memory cards.
To prevent memory card corruption, use updated antivirus to your system, format memory card frequently, do not remove memory card abruptly while transferring or copying files. Take backup of the important data regularly, which helps to restore data back from backup file in data loss.
Remo Recover (Windows)-Media edition is used to recover deleted or lost files from hard drives, flash memory cards, USB external drives etc. This tool is designed with built in special algorithms to identify and recover photos, audio, video file formats and digital RAW photo files. This utility supports recovery of deleted files from FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, NTFS5, ExtFAT partitions or drives. Recovered data can be previewed when you download demo version of the tool.
